The New Siri Preview
The most significant announcement wasn't hardware. Siri is getting a complete redesign with iOS 26.4:
On-Screen Awareness
Siri reads and acts on what is displayed — summarising, replying, extracting data from the current screen.
Cross-App Memory
Retains context across apps — understanding that an address in Messages is relevant to a Maps query.
Gemini Integration
Routes complex queries to Google Gemini via Private Cloud Compute for privacy-preserving intelligence.
Developer Note: SiriKit extensions will be updated in iOS 26.4 to expose on-screen awareness context to authorised apps. This opens new integration possibilities for productivity and enterprise categories.
