Multilingual Voice Translator

Twenty-two languages run through ElevenLabs’ eleven_multilingual_v2 voice model: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Dutch, Czech, Swedish, Indonesian, and Filipino. The picker groups Indian languages at the top because that’s our primary audience — but every language uses the same pipeline.

Audio is generated at 44.1 kHz / 128 kbps MP3 — the same quality you would get on a paid TTS API call. ElevenLabs’ multilingual_v2 model produces natural prosody, accurate pronunciation of Indian languages including Hindi consonant clusters and Tamil retroflex sounds, and the same chosen voice carries across every language. Sentence-length input usually sounds best; very short fragments can sound clipped.

The tool is free. Translation is capped at 5 calls per IP per day (Gemini); audio generation is capped at 2 calls per IP per day (ElevenLabs). The two-step UX exists so you can review the translation before spending one of your audio credits. Limits reset at midnight UTC. Gemini is currently among the strongest commercial models for English→Indian-language translation, well above legacy Google Translate for nuanced or idiomatic content. We use temperature 0.3 to keep wording stable. That said, machine translation is not a human translator — for legal, medical, or contractual text, always have a native speaker review the output before publishing.

Most Western voice-translation tools support Hindi only as a second-class citizen — synthesised voices have wrong stress patterns, Tamil and Telugu are often missing entirely, and Bengali sounds robotic. We built this around Indian audiences first: the language picker features Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali at the top, and we use ElevenLabs’ multilingual_v2 model which handles Indian-script consonant clusters far more naturally than older TTS engines. ElevenLabs’ multilingual voices speak any of the 22 supported languages, but they were trained primarily on English and Spanish speech. So an "American female" voice speaking Tamil will sound like a fluent non-native — pronunciation is correct, but the timbre carries a slight accent. For native-sounding Indian-language voiceovers at scale, we work with a curated catalogue of Indian-English and pure-Hindi voices on ElevenLabs’ paid voice library — talk to our team if that’s the use case.
